The winners of the 2022 AHA (WA) Bankwest Hospitality Supplier Awards and new Legends of Hospitality have been revealed, celebrating those in WA’s hospitality industry who maintain an ongoing commitment to excellence.
Nearly 400 guests attended the Perth Airport Gala Dinner at Crown Perth, where the 2022 finalists and winners were celebrated in front of their peers. Australian Hotels Association (WA) CEO Bradley Woods said while the hospitality industry faces a post-COVID recovery period ahead, there is a widespread acknowledgement that the sector is in a strong position.
“WA’s hotels and hospitality venues were able to navigate the challenges of the past two years largely because of the support and cooperation of their suppliers,” Mr Woods said.
“The Hospitality Supplier Awards are a way of acknowledging those suppliers who are committed to the ongoing pursuit of excellence, whether it be in respect to products, services, promotions or innovations.” “We were proud to again reveal new Legends of Hospitality, which commend those publicans, hoteliers and restaurateurs who make an outstanding contribution to their industry and the community in which they operate.”

Leading accommodation industry figures, Premier Mark McGowan and a range of dignitaries attended the Devil's Lair Gala Ball at Crown Perth on 16 May for the presentation of the 2022 AHA Perth Airport Accommodation Awards for Excellence.
AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the calibre of the finalists and winners was testament to the fact that despite two years of adversity, WA’s accommodation industry has maintained an unwavering focus on excellence.
“While the pandemic certainly disrupted operations and presented challenges, WA’s hotels and their dedicated staff have continued to not only maintain, but elevate, the guest experience,” Mr Woods said.
“WA has a rich array of quality hotels across all areas of the state, complemented by world-class hospitality offerings, ensuring we are very well placed to rebound strongly now that borders are open and travel is beginning to return to normal.”
“This year in particular, the awards presented us with an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the leading hospitality staff that WA’s hotels are fortunate to have in all areas of the industry.”
Award winners included the Ritz-Carlton Perth, who won the Deluxe Accommodation Award, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa in Broome, who won WA’s Best Regional Accommodation Award and QT Perth who won WA’s Best Accommodation Hotel Award.
